This guide will show you how to enable HTTPS on netBooter DU series PDUs to secure web-based access to your device. By enabling HTTPS, you’ll ensure all communication with the PDU’s web interface is encrypted using TLS v1.2, helping protect login credentials and configuration data from interception.
While the process is simple—just updating a single port setting—it plays a crucial role in maintaining secure access, especially when your PDU is managed remotely or exposed to external networks. This guide applies specifically to netBooter DU series models - for instructions on enabling HTTPS on other product series, please visit our Resources & Support page.
To enable HTTPS access on your netBooter DU series PDU:
- Log into the Web UI of the PDU using its current IP address.
- Navigate to the “Network” section in the left-hand menu.
- Locate the HTTP Port setting.
- Set the HTTP port to: 443.
- Save your settings and reconnect using https://<device-ip>
Once the port is set to 443, HTTPS is automatically enabled.

Important Notes About HTTPS on DU Models
- netBooter DU PDUs use HTTPS with TLS v1.2 encryption to secure web access.
- These models use built-in system certificates and do not support uploading custom certificates.
- For advanced HTTPS options like custom certificates, consider the netBooter DX or SynLink SP series. Visit our product page for more details.
